If you truly want to know the answer to why a cobb salad is called a Cobb salad...because one of my special friends recently proclaimed, "Hey! There's no CORN in my salad!" I was very confused, til I discovered that she thought it was called a cobb salad because...like corn on the cobb...get it? Here's the versions of stories on "why" it really is called Cobb in case you didn't know either...

If you truly want to know my weight loss this week...
Minus 4 lbs! Woo hoo!
The program has gotten easier. If you truly keep yourself hydrated, it makes it even more easy. I'm drinking at least a gallon of water a day. Lots of times, I add in Crystal Light or the knock off versions.
Cardio this week was by means of the treadmill. I give shout outs to Lady Gaga, the Bee Gees, Michael Jackson, & Rhianna for putting me in the mood because without them, I would be lazy again.
So, the food front:
I've been asking Zaxby's to leave off the bread when I think about it. However, yesterday, I didn't think about it. And I did it. I ate the bread, other than the crust. I saw blue birds, butterflies, and sparkly bumble bees in tutus. Okay, seriously...it wasn't even worth it for real. Sure it tasted okay, but I immediately felt guilty and did cardio with the above mentioned artists.
Oh, visited San Marcos twice as well. And, can I just say, the fajita taco salad is where it's at y'all. Just tell them no butter/no grease and keep the sour cream off. I had the cheese, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, and chicken. I dumped my leftovers into the to go box out of the shell. I asked if next time I can JUST get the fajita chicken and was told that I totally can. Yay.
I do want popcorn. Like really badly. With no butter, I'm pondering to order a small bag at the movies today and a ginormous diet something or other because I've really cut out diet soda by 95%. But, honestly...popcorn and diet soda are like seriously lovers...I'd officiate their wedding.
Peace, love, & NO grease,
C
You can pop your own popcorn... or they make a lot of bagged stuff that is actually quite tasty and does not have butter. And this I know because Benjamin can have it. I'd officiate the wedding of m&ms and popcorn.
ReplyDeleteSo proud of you, and for keeping it real and not going off the deep end in any area. It's a life change, not a diet or a quick fix. Small changes making big differences over a long period of time. You can totally do this. :)
Thank you my friend...it helps to get all my thoughts out onto here too :)
ReplyDeleteWe actually aren't supposed to have popcorn/corn bc of the carbs, but I was going to totally treat myself to a small amount of it...by small, I mean, 18 bags. JK ;)
Way to go girl!!! I too called them this week. You doing great!!!! Beyond proud!!!! :-)
